Local law enforcement agencies team up to stop gangs
WALKER COUNTY, GA. (WRCB) -- The Walker County Sheriff's Office is joining forces with one Tennessee county to help put an end to gangs.
Walker and Hamilton counties have entered into an agreement that officials say will help better address the issue at the state line.
The agreement allows both agencies the ability to cross the state line for the purpose of investigating gang activity and related crimes.
The Walker County Sheriff's Office already has two deputies assigned to the Chattanooga Area Gang Enforcement (CAGE) for the purpose of sharing intelligence.
This new agreement allows those deputies to work with CAGE when and where they are needed.
