Westbrook and Malone Win CFF Tournament on Chickamauga Lake

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - The Chattanooga Fishing Forum (CFF) held the ninth tournament of its ten tournament season Friday evening, August 11, 2012, out of Harrison Bay State Park. Twenty-Four teams consisting of Chattanooga Fishing Forum members showed up to participate in the last night event of the year.

The team of Earl Westbrook and Jerry Malone caught a three-fish limit weighing 13.08 pounds to take the win and first place in the tournament. The duo also won the Wavefishing.com Biggest Fish Award of the tournament with a giant largemouth weighing 6.85 pounds

Westbrook said, "We caught our big fish on the last cast of the night, just before we had to come back in"

The team of Chris Gilmore and Jason Smith were the Wavefishing.com Biggest Spotted Bass Award winners with a spot that weighed 2.13 pounds.

  • 2nd – Bo Campbell and Mike Wilson – 11.58 pounds
  • 3rd – Terry Williams and Bobby Ramsey – 10.44 pounds
  • 4th – Matt Jenkins and Oscar Torbett – 9.78 pounds
  • 5th – Jim McClanahan and James Dillard – 9.66 pounds
  • 6th – Jason Smith and Chris Gilmore – 9.53 pounds
