DALTON, GA (WRCB) -- Dalton fire investigators are asking for help from the public to identify the person or people behind what appears to be a deliberately set house fire.
Just after 3:00 a.m. Monday morning, the Dalton Fire Department responded to a house fire at 1120 Ridgeleigh Circle. On arrival of fire department crews found heavy fire showing from the rear of the house.
The fire was under control within the hour, at which point fire officials began their investigation and determined the cause of the fire to be incendiary/arson.
The DFD is asking for anyone with information to please call them at (706) 278-7363, or the Dalton Police Department at (706) 278-9085. The Georgia Arson Control also has a toll-free hotline at 1-800-282-5804.
For information leading to the arrest and conviction of person(s) responsible for arson may receive a reward of up to $10,000 dollars offered by the Georgia Arson Control Hotline.
