(WRCB)- A cold front to our west is going to stir up the weather today.

Through the morning, expect isolated showers and storms, then they will become much more widespread through the afternoon and evening hours.  You may be dealing with some pretty nasty stuff for the commute home this evening.

While the threat of tornadoes is not really there, some damaging winds in excess of 60 mph are possible with stronger storms, and hail is possible also.  That, of course, goes along with the standard heavy rain and abundant lightning.  We can expect plenty of that, too.

Through the evening, the rain will slowly taper off, and late tonight the front will pass by.  On the other side of it get ready for the awesome weather Saturday and Sunday.  Both days will see humidity levels dropping quite a bit with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid 80s.
