Wesley Strader Talks About the 2012 FLW Forrest Wood Cup
CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - The 2012 FLW Forrest Wood Cup Bass Tournament is one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world with a first place earnings of $500,000.
Wesley Strader from Spring City, Tennessee, and a 12 time qualifier for this event, talked with Channel3Outdoors in an exclusive interview about what he expects the fishing conditions will be at Lake Lanier in Duluth/Gainesville, Georgia, on August 9th – 12th.
Wesley said "the lake is 9 feet below summer pool and this is going to change fishing conditions from past years. I have spent 4 or 5 days on the lake mainly just riding and looking at water conditions and evaluated many different areas of water for this year's tournament. Reports are the large mouth bite is mainly at night and I feel this will be a tournament where spotted bass are the main target fish".
Lake Lanier is known for its spotted bass fishery. These pros will catch the fish using a variety of baits and methods in the deep clear waters of Lake Lanier.
This will be a great event followed by millions of fishermen across the country. The FLW Wal-Mart staff really knows how to present an event with lots of fun and excitement for the whole family.
