KNOXVILLE (WRCB/UT) -- Derek Dooley believes in the importance of a positive first impression. And the Tennessee football coach knows if he's still around in Knoxville for a fourth season, he won't have any problem making one on potential recruits.

Dooley led media on a tour of UT's new $45 million football complex Friday afternoon, showing off a state-of-the-art facility that promises to be one of the most impressive in the nation.

"Recruiting is the life blood of every football program and one of the ways to get better recruits is showing them where they'll live and train here, and being able to show off all this technology that can make them the best possible player they can be," Dooley said. "We all fall into that 'wow' trap when you walk into a house that helps you overlook a few things you may not like.

"We've got that 'wow' factor with this, and we're big on making a first impression."

Cutting edge technology can be found in every corner, from meeting rooms to training rooms, and from coaching offices to player's lockers. A multi-level weight room comes equipped with a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighting cage, which Dooley said will be called a "tumbling room."

Phase I of construction is set to wrap up in September, with Phase II scheduled to wrap up all construction by December.
