Armed robbers hit local businesses

Posted: Updated:

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - Since Sunday, armed robbers have hit five local businesses.

Chattanooga police think it's all tied to the same group of suspects, and their m.o., they hit late, for some at closing time.

We've mapped out the crime spree for you.

Mr. T's Pizza on Tennessee Avenue in St. Elmo was first, on Sunday.

Since then, they are believed to have hit the Family Dollar on 3rd, Krystal Restaurants on Highway 58 and East 23rd, and the Taco Bell on Rossville Boulevard.

On separate occasions, two people were struck in the head.

On Sunday, Mr. T's was still open, so the customers were robbed as well.

The similarity is in the people that are pulling these jobs. Black males in groups of three or four, between the ages of 16 and 25, carrying handguns and wearing masks.

Officers say, until this gang is stopped, business owners and employees should be vigilant and should you find yourself a victim, give them what they want.

If you know anything about the robberies, please, call police.
