Traffic investigators need help with hit-n-run cold case

HAMILTON COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -- The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Traffic Division is asking for help from the public in regards to a traffic fatality involving a pedestrian that occurred on July 18, 2010 in the 2500 block of Cummings Highway.  

This incident occurred at approximately 10:20 p.m. and the investigation shows that the victim, Terry Bailey, 48, was crossing the roadway on Cummings Highway, when he was struck by a vehicle traveling west bound.  

The vehicle did not stop after hitting the victim.  

According to witnesses, a possible suspect vehicle was described as a Mercury and was driven by a heavyset white woman with short brown hair.  Investigators have received new information and are actively pursuing new leads but are requesting any additional assistance the public can provide.
