Posted: Updated:

DALTON, GA (WRCB) -- The Dalton Police Department is asking for information from the public regarding the whereabouts of 22-year-old Jeremy Lorenzo Arteaga.  He is wanted in connection with a burglary and auto theft that happened on June 27th.  Arteaga's last known address was 205 Windy Hill Drive in Rocky Face.

The incident happened on June 27th between noon and 1:45 pm.  The two victims in the case left their house at 604 Richardson Street to get lunch.  When they returned, they saw that their other car, a 2002 silver Nissan Altima, was missing from the driveway.  They also found that their front door was unlocked.

When they entered the house, they found that it appeared to be ransacked, and the back door had been kicked open.  In addition to the missing Altima, they also found that a laptop computer, a flat screen TV, an iPhone, and an X-Box were missing along with other items.

Investigators working the case received a tip that Arteaga was involved in the incident, and after following up on several leads they obtained warrants for his arrest.

Anyone with information on Arteaga's whereabouts is asked to please contact Detective Chris Tucker with the Dalton Police Department at (706) 278-9085, extension 165.
