CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- One off night for Chattanooga's offense turned into two losses for the Lookouts on Friday night.
Pensacola pitchers Tony Cingrani and Mark Serrano silenced Chattanooga bats to help the Blue Wahoos sweep a doubleheader at AT&T Field by scores of 2-1 and 6-1.
The losses drop Chattanooga (12-10) a game-and-a-half back of first-place Jackson in the North Division.
Cingrani (5-1) went the distance in the opener, giving up just one unearned run on four hits while strikouts while striking out two. Meanwhile, Tucker Barnhart's two-run triple in the fourth provided the only scoring needed to back Cingrani up.
Serrano (1-0) allowed a solo homer to Nick Buss in the opening frame of the nightcap before holding the Lookouts scoreless through the next four innings. He gave up just four hits and struck out five.
The Blue Wahoos erupted for five runs off starter Chris Reed (0-1) in the third, with Bill Rhinehart's two-run groundrule double and Bryson Smith's three-run triple doing all the damage.
Ryan LaMarre's single in the seventh plated Billy Hamilton for the game's final run.
Hamilton, the speedster who made his Double-A debut in Wednesday's series-opener, stole three bases on the night to up his ridiculous total to 107 in only 85 minor-league games.
Chattanooga now travels to Mississippi to open a four-game series with the M-Braves on Saturday night before returning home next Thursday for a four-game set with Tennessee.
