LAS VEGAS (WRCB) - Chandler Lawson, a Chattanooga resident, advanced to the Top 10 in the Miss America pageant in Las Vegas on Saturday night before being eliminated. Lawson sang Adele's "Turning Tables" in the talent portion of the competition.

Lawson became the 60th Miss Tennessee crowned in Jackson in June. The Tullahoma native graduated from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga and was the reigning Miss Chattanooga.

This year was Lawson's third attempt to win Miss Tennessee. She was first runner-up last year as Miss Chattanooga 2011 and competed as Miss Scenic City in 2010.
