Gadsden man charged with making explosive device

GADSDEN, AL (WRCB) -- A 26-year-old North Alabama man in custody today after a tip lead to his arrest on explosives manufacturing charges.

Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin said that Josh Huie was arrested for allegedly making an explosive device.

According to WVTM-TV in Birmingham, a citizen phoned in the tip on Wednesday which led to Huie's arrest Thursday.

The explosive was located in the vicinity of Delmont Road in the Tabor area.

Huie confessed to making the device and he is currently being detained at the Etowah County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
