DEKALB COUNTY, AL (WRCB) -- The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office in Alabama arrested two men this week for violations of sex offender regulations.

Richard Holcomb, a registered sex offender from Dutton, 32, was arrested for working at a business at 1285 AL Hwy 35, which is too close to Plainview School in Rainsville.  No convicted sex offender can accept employment within 2,000 feet of a school.

Billy Joe Busby, 28, a registered sex offender from Fyffe, was arrested for not having a current identification card or driver's license showing his present address.  Every convicted sex offender must have a driver's license or state issued identification card with the address where they are currently living.

"There's more to it than just registering," said Sheriff Jimmy Harris. "Sex offenders have to comply with regulations on an ongoing basis."

Sex offenders are responsible for notifying their local law enforcement office of any changes in residency or

employment.  Concerned citizens should report sex offenders who they believe are in violation of regulations by contacting the Sheriff's Office or other local law enforcement office.
