Robbery suspect shot by police

(WRCB) - A burglary suspect is recovering after being shot by a police officer.

It happened late Tuesday night. A Fort Oglethorpe police officer responded to a burglary-in-progress, at Gateway Antiques.

Police surrounded the building and investigators say there was a confrontation.

An officer shot the man, but his injuries are not life threatening and he's expected to be ok.
