ATHENS, MCMINN CO., TN (WRCB) - Athens police are looking for a thief who stole more than $5,000 in merchandise from Wal-Mart.
It happened Thursday morning when a man allegedly cut a hole through a chain link fence to remove items from the store.
A store surveillance video shows a middle-aged man entering the store and filling a shopping cart with items including an X-box 360, jeans, perfume, a stereo, and many other products.
He then goes to the Garden Center and puts the items underneath a curtain covering an outside fence. Then he crawled under the curtain and cut a hole in the fence. Police say they think they know who he is.
