City of Lafayette looking for new Public Safety Director

LAFAYETTE, WALKER CO., GA (WRCB) - Lafayette city leaders have fired their public safety director.

Tommy Freeman was hired in 2007.

City Manager Frank Etheridge says they had a difference in management styles, and the city wanted to go in a different direction.

Assistant Chief Bengie Clift will serve as interim chief until the city can find a new public safety director.
