Stephan Jaeger Named SoCon Golfer of the Month
CHATTANOOGA (UTC) -- Chattanooga Mocs senior Stephan Jaeger added to his numerous honors with the Southern Conference Golfer of the Month Award for April the league office announced today. It's the third time in his career he's received the monthly honor to go with four weekly ones.

Jaeger tied former Furman star Brad Faxon for the SoCon Championship record winning by an astounding 11 shots. He shot rounds of 66, 72 and 69 for a 54-hole total of nine-under par 207. He paced four Mocs finishing in the top 10. UTC won by 19 strokes, the largest margin of victory since ETSU topped College of Charleston in 2001 which was also by 19 at Chattanooga Golf & Country Club.

Stephan was also named the league's Golfer of the Year following the SoCon Championship. He is the only three-time winner of the award. The SoCon Championship win was the third of his career tying Jonathan Hodge (2006-09) and Bryce Ledford (2004-07) for most in school history.

It was a clean sweep for the UTC golf teams at this season's golf championships as the women won the team title, while Jordan Britt was the medalist. That marks just the third time in SoCon history that one school captured all four titles with Furman turning the trick in 1997 and 2004.

Jaeger and his teammates await word of their NCAA Regional site. The bracket will be announced on NCAA.com at 9 p.m., on Monday, May 7.
