Mayfield son charged with vandalizing Fleischmann staffer's car

ATHENS, McMINN COUNTY -

(Times Free Press) - The Kingston Police Department today formally charged Scottie Mayfield's son in connection with an incident involving a staffer for U.S. Rep. Chuck Fleischmann.

Michael Mayfield, 33, is charged with vandalism under $500, Kingston Assistant Police Chief Gary Nelson said.

Nelson said Michael Mayfield confessed to damaging a tire belonging to Fleischmann campaign manager Tyler Threadgill's 2005 Audi.
