Man loses legs after being hit by train

DAYTON, RHEA COUNTY -

(WRCB) - A man is in the hospital in critical condition after being hit by a train.

Rhea County dispatchers say it happened around 2:15 a.m. near Iowa Avenue in Dayton.

It is not known at this time why the man was on the train tracks.

They say both of the man's legs were amputated at the knee.
