Filmmakers announce second casting call for '42'

(WRCB) – Casting directors have announced a second casting call in Chattanooga for the movie "42".

The open casting call is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April  28, at Eastgate Town Center.

Casting directors with Cattrett Locke Casting say they are in need of hundreds of additional extras for background talent for the feature film, "42" being filled in the Scenic City beginning next month.

Actors hired for the film will be paid and shooting is expected to take five weeks.

The film is based on the life story of Jackie Robinson and his history-making signing with the Brooklyn Dodgers under the guidance of team executive Branch Rickey. It is written by Brian Helgeland and stars Harrison Ford and Chad Bozeman.

Catrett Locke Casting is specifically seeking:

• Casting ages 18 and over for "ALL LOOKS"- Looking for great character faces
• Baseball fans, umpires and coaches
• People with the 1940's look.
• Everyone, please come relaxed and dress In your best 1940's attire

Wardrobe notes:
• People are encouraged, not required, to come dressed in 1940's attire for the open call.
• A costume contest will be part of the Open Casting Call and the winners will be cast by CL Casting in the film.
• Women-Dresses, tailored skirts and blouses, oxford shoes, pumps, hats (small) vintage if they have them
• Men-Dress pants, Short Sleeve button shirts, suspenders, sportcoats, dress shoes, fedoras


Free parking. Please bring a pen and headshots if you have them.
Headshots are not required. Please know your wardrobe sizes (height, waist, inseam, shoe, etc.).
