Officer who killed suspect cleared return to work

CATOOSA CO., GA (WRCB) - The Catoosa County detective who shot a young man is clear to return to work.

Detective Jeremy Keener shot 19 year old Nathan Trew in the chest one week ago.

Police say Trew had robbed a home, and was in a stand-off when he pointed a loaded gun at police.

Keener shot him once in the chest.

The District Attorney's office says Keener acted within the law and Trew committed several burglaries to support his drug addiction
