Decatur woman killed in Monday night crash

Posted: Updated:

MEIGS COUNTY, TN. (WRCB) -- A Decatur woman is dead, following a single-vehicle crash Monday.

Tennessee Highway Patrol Spokeswoman Jennifer Donnals says it happened on Goodfield Road, shortly before 9:00 p.m.

Donnals says 38-year-old Tiffany L. Scott was thrown from her 2004 Chevrolet Blazer when it left the road and rolled several times, striking mailboxes and a small tree.

Scott was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident report states Scott was not wearing a seatbelt and the state has ordered a toxicology report.

Family members say Tiffany physically suffered from medical problems, and say she never used illegal drugs.
