Police investigating 4th Avenue gang shooting

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- Chattanooga Police are investigating what they believe to be a gang-related shooting Tuesday.

Police Spokesman Nathan Hartwig says it happened in the 2600 Block of 4th Avenue around 4:52 p.m.

Hartwig says the victim, 18-year-old Guy Wilkerson, was taken to Parkridge Hospital.

Wilkerson's injuries appear to be non-life threatening, but Hartwig says the victim will be taken to Erlanger for further treatment.

Police are working on suspects lead.
