Warmer weather returns to the Valley

Posted: Updated:
CHATTANOOGA -

(WRCB) - After another chilly start to the day, we will now see warmer weather beginning to stream in.

Highs this time of year are typically in the low-to-mid-70s.  We won't get there Tuesday, but we will manage highs in the mid-to-upper-60s which is at least about 5 degrees warmer than yesterday.

As the low pressure center in the northeastern U.S. continues to weaken, that will allow warmer air to move in toward the end of the week.  We can expect highs in the mid-70s Wednesday and low-80s Thursday through the weekend.

We will have a mix of sun and clouds through the rest of the week, but little rain is expected.  With that said, an isolated light sprinkle each afternoon through the rest of the week can not be ruled out.

Right now the weekend looks good.  Saturday will be wonderful with highs in the low 80s and mostly sunny skies.  Sunday will be just as nice early on, then a front will bring a chance of showers and storms Sunday night.
