(WRCB) – A packaging manufacturer is moving their facilities to Downtown Chattanooga, creating 25 new jobs.

Jamel Containers announced Monday that they will move their primary facilities from Fort Payne, Alabama, to Chattanooga's Southside.

The company's general manager, J Perry Morris, said the move to the new,  52,000-square-foot facility "brought us closer to our core local client base."

The company said they would be adding 25 new jobs with the opening of the Chattanooga facility.

"We're proud to be a part of what's happening in Chattanooga's manufacturing turnaround," Morris added.

Jamel Containers provides customers with custom-sized, printed containers for shipping locally manufactured and produced products to retailers throughout the world.
