Knight Wins Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Weekend Series Tournament on Lake Chickamauga

DAYTON (WRCB) - Jeff Knight from Cleveland, TN took top honors in the Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Weekend Series Tournament in Dayton, TN, on Saturday, April 14th

Knight caught a 5 bass limit weighing 21.34 lbs., which included big fish of the tournament, a largemouth bass weighing 6.39  lbs., netting him the first place prize of  $3,000.00.

The 47 year old Knight reported catching fish all day running a shallow water pattern on the upper end of Lake Chickamauga.

This was the second tournament of a five event trail of the Tennessee East Division for the Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Weekend Series.

The top ten are as follows:

  • 1st Jeff A. Knight  from Cleveland TN with 21.34 lbs.
  • 2nd Dale Pelfrey from Rockwood TN with 20.02 lbs.
  • 3rd Brandon Roop from  Dayton TN with 19.52 lbs.
  • 4th Chris Whitson from Louisville TN with 19.16 lbs.
  • 5th Galen R. James from Sale Creek with 5/5 18.38 lbs.
  • 6th Greg Shaver from Dayton TN with 17.03 lbs.
  • 7th Brian Hatfield from Friendsville TN with 16.80 lbs.
  • 8th Bill "Billy Joe" J. Wheat from Hickson TN with 17.73 lbs.
  • 9th Rogne Brown from Hixson TN with 15.53 lbs.
  • 10th Scott Gross from Spring City TN with 15.38 lbs.
