Whitfield County elementary student caught with gun at school

WHITFIELD COUNTY, GA. (WRCB) -- Channel 3 has learned a Dawnville Elementary student was caught with a gun at school.

The police report states the student brought an Airsoft gun to school.

The report says it was unloaded and the student was not carrying any ammo.

The Airsoft gun was found in his binder.

No threats were ever made and the student told police he just wanted to show his friends.

The boy was turned over to the school for disciplinary action.
