CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- Fire crews from multiple agencies were called to a house fire in Red Bank Monday.

Hamilton County EMS Spokeswoman Amy Maxwell says the call from 301 Lancaster Avenue came in around 8:00 p.m. from the homeowners, John and Betty Lowley.

Maxwell says firefighters had trouble getting inside the home due to a large amount of debris, but were able to clear a path and contain the fire to one room.

The fire left severe smoke and heat damage to the second floor and severe water damage to the first floor.

No was one was injured and the Red Cross was called in to help the family.

The Red Bank Fire Department is leading the investigation to determine a cause.

Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department and Walden's Ridge Emergency Services assisted with the fire.
