Weather turning cooler for the Easter weekend after some storms

Posted: Updated:

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- Showers and storms will develop across the Tennessee Valley Thursday as a cold front and low pressure system approach from the west. Most of it will occur late in the day, after 3 p.m., and last through the evening before winding down after midnight. A few storms may become severe. No tornadic activity is expected, but some areas may end up with large hail and/or damaging winds.

Dry, cooler, and seasonable weather will follow for Easter weekend! Low will fall into the 40s (possibly upper 30s outside Chattanooga) with highs 70-75 in the city. Another shot of cooler air may arrive next week and drop our highs to the 60s in town.

Normal low/hi for Chattanooga this weekend: 46/71.
