Deputies: East Tennessee woman called 911 over bad burger

ROCKWOOD, ROANE COUNTY, TN -

(WRCB) – Deputies in Roane County have arrested a woman after she repeatedly called 911, complaining about her hamburger.

According to court documents, 50-year-old Donna Marie Nichols, of Rockwood, called 911 twice on March 28 to report "she had purchased food from Hardees and that the hamburger tasted funny."

When deputies arrived, she informed them that she had called the Hardees, prior to calling 911, and the manager told her to return to the restaurant for a refund.

Nichols was arrested on abuse of 911 charges and booked into the Roane County Jail.
