South Pittsburg woman arrested on multiple drug charges

SKYLINE, AL. (WRCB) -- A South Pittsburg woman was arrested after a traffic stop in North Alabama where officers discovered meth, marijuana and prescription medications in her vehicle.

On March 22, Jackson County Sheriff's Office Lt. Kenneth Miller conducted a traffic stop on Alabama Highway 79 near Waldens Store in Skyline, Alabama.  

As a result of this traffic stop, Rebecca Ann Thompson, 28, of South Pittsburg, TN. was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Controlled Substances.  

Pursuant to this arrest, Lt. Miller located and seized a small amount of Methamphetamine, Marijuana, Carisoprodol and Lorazepam.  

Thompson was additionally charged with Possession of Controlled Substances (Methamphetamine), Possession of Marijuana 2nd degree, Possession of Controlled Substances (Carisoprodol), and Possession of Controlled Substances (Lorazepam).  

She was placed in the Jackson County Jail on $13,000 bond.
