Local students holding fundraiser to improve school's technology

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- Students and faculty members at Central High School need your help in the classroom!

On Saturday, students, teachers and alumni are sponsoring a Mexican breakfast at El Meson near Hamilton Place.

The proceeds will go to a Technology Fund, so teachers can purchase items they're currently teaching without like, computers.

The school has only one computer lab available for non-vocational students, making it difficult to use for a class of 22 or more students.

An omelet breakfast will be served for three hours, beginning at 7:45 a.m. The staff at El Meson is generously donating all profits made during those three hours to the school's fund.

Tickets are on sale at the school now for $8.00 and will also be sold at the door. Children age 5 and under are $4.00.

Anyone who wishes to make a donation should make checks payable to Central High School, noting the "Technology Fund."
