Hot temps expected remainder of week

(WRCB) - With highs soaring into the low-80s for the rest of this week, we will come close to setting some new records.

The record high for Wednesday is 81, and that is what I am expecting us to reach under mostly sunny skies.

With all of the heat, our pollens are getting an early start.  The latest count as of this morning had tree pollens at a count of 734.  Anything above 120 is considered very high.

We will get some rain as we wrap up the week.  We may see a few isolated showers Thursday, but the best chance of showers and storms (non-severe) will be through the day Friday, and into the first part of the day Saturday.

We will dry out late Saturday, but warm weather will stay with us with highs staying in the 70s and 80s through next week.
