Four-week TBI citizens academy coming in May

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Citizens get a chance for an inside look at the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

The TBI, the state's lead investigative law enforcement agency, is now accepting applications for its citizens academy.

The four-week academy beginning May 1 will offer the public a look at TBI's investigations of crime scenes, cyber crime and terrorism information and other aspects of criminal activity. Classes will be held for three hours, one night a week.
