NEW BASS TOURNAMENT TRAIL IN TOWN

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - There is a new bass tournament trail in Chattanooga for boat owners that have 175 hp. engines and below on their boat. The Southern 175 Series is a tournament trail designed to level the playing field for angler's who do not have the bigger horse power boats which are common place in today's bass tournaments.

The Southern 175 Series tournaments will consist of six regular season events and a yearend Classic in which the Grand Prize will be a 2012 Bass Tracker Pro Team TXW 175 with a Mercury F-60 motor valued at $16,000 presented by Island Cove Outdoor Center.

All tournaments will be held at Chester Frost Park.

The Southern 175 Series will be holding early sign-ups on Saturday March 10th, 2012 for the March 18th tournament. Sign-ups will be from 10:00 a.m. till 12:00 a.m. at Nichols Marine and from 2:00 p.m. till 4:00 p.m. at Island Cove Outdoor Center.
