NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Two East Tennessee students have been awarded $20,000 Horatio Alger scholarships.

Keylee D. Jones of Chattanooga and Cole J. Burns of Kodak are among 104 winners who can use the scholarships to a 4-year school of their choice.

They were chosen for overcoming personal obstacles to attain academic success. They will be honored at awards ceremonies in April in Washington, D.C.

The Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans Inc. disburses more than $7 million annually in scholarships to deserving high school students.
