Warm temperatures return to the Tennessee Valley

Posted: Updated:

(WRCB) - After a brief return to some winter-like weather over the weekend, we are back into the unseasonably warm weather to start off the week.

We can expect some thin clouds Monday, but no rain.  Light south winds will nudge our highs into the mid-60s this afternoon.

South winds will continue Tuesday ahead of an approaching front.  Highs Tuesday will reach about 70 degrees under partly cloudy skies.

Tuesday night, clouds will build as the front gets closer, and we may even see a few light showers Tuesday evening.

The front will move through, however, through the day Wednesday and as it does it will produce periods of heavy rain, and a slight chance of some strong storms through the day.

We will begin to clear out Wednesday night into Thursday, but temps will stay VERY warm with a high Thursday of 75 under a partly cloudy sky.

We should stay in the mid-70s Friday, but that nice, warm weather will help produce another round of strong storms Friday evening as another front moves through.

This one WILL cool us down a little for the weekend with highs returning to the low to mid 60s Saturday and Sunday.  We will be rain free over the weekend, also.
