"One Pot" meth labs busted in Scottsboro narcotics raid

SCOTTSBORO, AL (WRCB) -- Narcotics officers with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office located and shut down a pair of "one pot" meth labs in a residential neighborhood in Scottsboro, AL on Friday, taking a 55-year-old man into custody.

Alan Ray Whitley, 55, was arrested after deputies raided a Joy Drive residence and found the meth labs along with chemicals and associated items used for the manufacture of methamphetamine.

They also located and seized a small amount of marijuana and methamphetamine residue.

Whitley was charged with Unlawful Manufacture of Controlled Substances 2nd (Meth), Possession of Marijuana 2nd, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and transported to the Jackson County Jail where he remains pending bond being set.
