ENGLEWOOD, McMINN COUNTY (WRCB) -- A former McMinn County deputy is on the other
side of the law Friday night.
A TBI spokesperson says 28-year-old Justin Hester of Englewood is
charged with official oppression.
This comes after an investigation by the bureau found Hester made multiple undocumented traffic stops.
The spokesperson says the former deputy allegedly took prescription drugs found during searches for himself.
The TBI claims he never arrested any
suspect or turned in any evidence.
Hester resigned in December.
He is now
behind bars, on $5,000 bond.
