Man convicted in Chattanooga woman's death gets more time

KNOXVILLE -

(WRCB) - A Knoxville man serving a life sentence for murdering a Chattanooga woman, has been given even more jail time.

Micah Johnson murdered Carrie Daugherty in 2008.

She was a Notre Dame graduate who was tending bar in Knoxville.

Johnson was sentenced to life with the possibility of parole in November.

Thursday, a judge sentenced him to an additional 50 years, on robbery and kidnapping charges.
