(WRCB) - After three hours of blocking traffic, a disabled tractor trailer has been removed from Interstate 24, alleviating a large backup Tuesday morning.

The air brakes seized on the big rig in the left lane of I-24 near Moore Road. Crews took nearly three hours to unlock the brakes and get lane cleared.

Traffic was backed up as far as the I-75/I-24 split.

The disabled truck was reported at 6:10 a.m. Tuesday. The truck was removed by 9:00 a.m.
