Week starts with warming trend

Posted: Updated:
CHATTANOOGA -

(WRCB) - After a cold start, we are looking at fantastic weather this afternoon.  Highs will reach the mid to upper-50s with mostly sunny skies.

Monday night, our temperatures will not be quite as cool (mid-30s) as we should have mostly cloudy skies trapping in some of the heat.

A weak front will pass through Tuesday morning and offer up a passing shower or two.  No colder weather is expected.  We will actually climb to about 60 with clearing skies Tuesday afternoon.

Our next best chance of significant rain will be with a system approaching toward the end of the week.  It will bring some heavy rain Thursday night into Friday morning, then we will once again dry out for the weekend.

Young and old flock to Coolidge Park on these hot, bright days. You know to wear sunscreen, but do you really understand that SPF number on the bottle?
