SEQUATCHIE COUNTY, TN (WRCB) - The Tennessee Highway Patrol says alcohol was involved in a crash that left a teenager dead.

The crash happened Sunday morning on Highway 127 in Sequatchie County. Nineteen year old Brooke Stockwell was driving when her car left the road and hit an embankment.

The car rolled, throwing both Stockwell, and her passenger, 19 year old Michael Elmore, from the vehicle. Troopers say neither were wearing a seat belt.

Stockwell died on the scene.

Elmore was taken to the hospital.
