LAFAYETTE, WALKER CO., GA (WRCB) - A former firefighter has pleaded not guilty to eight counts of arson.
Marvin Chase is accused of setting dozens of fires during his time as a volunteer firefighter in Lafayette.
His attorney says if the case goes to trial, he'll request a change of venue because of the sensationalism of the case.
At his arrest in 2010, investigators said they had evidence to link Chase to more than 20 fires within the city.
They said Chase was often the first firefighter on the scene.
