
CHATSWORTH, Ga. (WRCB) -- Lance Estus scored 17 points to lead LaFayette in a 58-31 rout of Pickens County in the quarterfinals of the Region 7-AAA Tournament on Wednesday night at Murray County High School.
The win locks up the Ramblers (19-4) first state playoff berth in more than a decade, as well as a semifinal showdown with Allatoona on Friday night. The state-ranked Bucs ended Ringgold's season in another quarterfinal matchup, 60-37.
Jordan Teems added 11 points for LaFayette, who led 24-13 at the break before pushing the advantage to 22 points at the end of three quarters.
Dalton also punched its state playoff ticket with a 68-52 win over Cedartown. The Catamounts will face Cartersville in Friday night's semifinals. The Purple Hurricanes ended Ridgeland's season with a 66-50 win.
