Pennsylvania couple stopped on I-75 facing 60 identity theft charges
BRADLEY COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -- A Pennsylvania couple stopped Friday for speeding on I-75 ended up in the Bradley County jail charged with 60 counts of identity theft.
A detective for the Bradley County Sheriff's office on Friday stopped the vehicle after radar showed it to be in excess of the 70 mph limit. During the investigation forms of identification for 60 different people were found consisting of 40 drivers licenses and 24 social security cards.
Detectives also found 45 prepaid VISA cards and numerous W-2's from the Internal Revenue Service.
The driver, 54-year-old Ricardo Dutrieculle, had an active Georgia probation violation warrant and is being held in jail pending extradition. He is also charged with 60 counts of identity theft, speeding, and having an expired registration.
The passenger, 44-year-old Melissa Hicks, was charged with 60 counts of identify theft. Her bond was initially set at $600,000.
Both suspects were arraigned in General Sessions Court Monday. Dutrieculle remains in custody awaiting extradition to Georgia. Bond for his local charges is $25,000. Hicks' bond was reduced to $20,000. They are due back in court on Feb 21.
Both reside in Braddock, Pennsylvania.
