DADE COUNTY, GA (WRCB) -- A three-year-old child, who was reported missing by her mother from Catoosa County earlier this week, has been found safe.

She was located on Sand Mountain Friday by Dade County authorities.

Sheriff Patrick Cannon and several of his deputies were able to locate the missing three year old and return her safely to her mother.

"We are so grateful to report the safe return of the missing child and the offenders will be prosecuted for their actions,' said Sheriff Cannon.

Catoosa County authorities have pending charges in the case as the investigation continues.
