CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- McCallie remains the No. 1 team in Tennessee for a third straight week in the latest Division II Associated Press prep poll.

The Blue Tornado (15-1) received 17 of the 18 possible first-place votes after routing Grace Academy in their only game last week.

Tyner (13-4) is the only other area team ranked, checking in at No. 10 in Class AA despite a pair of losses last week.

Ooltewah (17-3), who beat Tyner last Tuesday, dropped out of the top ten after Friday's loss at Bradley Central. The Owls are the first team receiving votes outside the top ten in Class AAA.

On the girls' side, GPS (16-4) moved up one spot to No. 2 in Division II. The Bruisers, who debuted as the No. 1 team in the state before sinking to third last week, received the only first-place vote that did not go to top-ranked Briarcrest.

Bradley Central (20-1) kept right on rolling last week and remains No. 5 in Class AAA. Defending state champ McMinn Central (14-4) is up one spot to No. 5 in Class AA. The two local powers will face off Tuesday at BCHS.
