Babies are being born two at a time now more than ever.

About 1 in every 30 newborns has a twin brother or sister... So why is that? And what are some of the risk factors involved?

Doctor Kirk Brody was our guest this morning.

The twin birth rate has risen 76-percent since 1980. Doctor Brody says he is seeing this trend in this community and in his office.

Doctor Brody says the reason we are seeing this growing trend is because women are waiting longer to have babies and because of fertility treatments.

Doctor Brody says there are some risk factors such as pre-mature birth. Doctor Brody also talked about some of the studies he has going on such as diabetes and women with a low sex drive. Call him to see if you qualify.
