CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- McCallie and GPS both debuted at No. 1 in the first Tennessee Associated Press Prep High School Basketball Poll released Monday.

The Blue Tornado (12-0) received ten first-place votes to garner the top spot in the boys Division II poll, while the Bruisers (14-2) received nine first-place nods to open atop the girls' Division II rankings.

Only three other area programs cracked the top ten: Tyner (12-1) is No. 4 in the boys' Class AA poll, Bradley Central (15-1) is No. 4 in the girls' Class AAA poll, and McMinn Central (9-4) is No. 6 in the girls' Class AA poll.

Ooltewah (Class AAA) and Sequatchie County (Class AA) both received votes in the boys rankings but stand outside the top ten.
